Research Area
The research focuses on the investigation and control of light-matter interactions at the nanoscale, specifically in nanophotonics, structured light, metasurfaces, and optical techniques involving low-dimensional materials.
Eligibility/Qualification
- Essential Requirements:
- PhD in Physics, Photonics, Condensed Matter, or a closely related discipline.
- Proven experience in nano-optics and nanophotonics.
- Familiarity with experimental optical setups and photonic characterization techniques.
- Experience with nanofabrication in cleanroom environments.
- Strong publication record in international peer-reviewed journals.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Additional Skills:
- Experience in structured light or vectorial optics.
- Experience with metasurface or nanophotonic device design.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques (e.g., electron-beam lithography).
- Knowledge of numerical electromagnetic simulations (e.g., FDTD, FEM).
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Python or MATLAB.
Job Description
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will:
- Design and perform experiments in nano-optics and nanophotonics.
- Develop and characterize nanophotonic structures and metasurfaces.
- Generate and manipulate structured and vectorial optical fields.
- Investigate optical phenomena in anisotropic and polaritonic 2D materials using near-field optical techniques.
- Analyze experimental data and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
