Eligibility/Qualification
- Completed university studies (Master/Diploma) in Medical Physics, Physics, Computer Science, Medical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong interest in quantitative medical imaging.
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (C++, Python).
- Good understanding of physics, particularly in nuclear, radiation, or medical physics.
- Knowledge of Monte Carlo simulation methods and medical image reconstruction principles is advantageous.
- Experience with PET imaging data is helpful.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team.
- Strong motivation and self-discipline to conduct independent research.
- Proficient in English (spoken and written).
Job Description
- Develop dual-tracer PET imaging methods and reconstruction algorithms collaborating with scientific and clinical partners.
- Implement and evaluate foundations of dual-tracer imaging using GATE-based Monte Carlo simulations.
- Integrate developed algorithms within a modular, C++-based PET image reconstruction framework.
- Validate dual-tracer PET imaging methods on clinical PET phantom data.
- Engage closely with project partners throughout all phases of the research project.
