Biotechnology & Bioinformatics: Bioinformatics, Big Data Biology, Computational Biology, Genomics, Structural Biology, etc.

Eligibility/Qualification–

General Teaching Posts: Qualifications and experience as per the UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers, 2018. A “good academic record” is required (at least 55% at the Master’s level and 50% at the Bachelor’s level).
Department of Education (ITEP): Minimum eligibility as per NCTE Amendment Regulations, 2021 (Appendix-15).
Department of Physical Education: Minimum eligibility as per NCTE Regulations 2014 and its amendments for M.P.Ed.
Department of AI & ML: Qualifications as per AICTE guidelines (e.g., B.E./B.Tech/B.S. and M.E./M.Tech/M.S. with first class for Assistant Professor; Ph.D. with at least 6 research publications and 8 years of experience for Associate Professor).
Note: Candidates with a Ph.D. from a foreign university must provide an Equivalence Certificate from AIU, New Delhi (unless nominated by the Ministry of Education’s foreign scholarship program).

Job/Position Description-

The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) invites online applications from eligible candidates for regular faculty positions. Opportunities are available at the levels of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor across various academic departments.

Designations & Pay Scales:

Professor: Academic Pay Level 14 (Entry pay of ₹1,44,200/- as per 7th CPC)
Associate Professor: Academic Pay Level 13A (Entry pay of ₹1,31,400/- as per 7th CPC)
Assistant Professor: Academic Pay Level 10 (Entry pay of ₹57,700/- as per 7th CPC)

Selected candidates will be responsible for teaching, academic administration, and advancing research in their respective fields. Candidates are expected to maintain a strong teaching philosophy and strategy, and actively pursue proposed, ongoing, and completed research projects. Shortlisting for interviews for senior positions will heavily rely on the Academic/Research Score (API).

Documentation: Applicants must upload all required enclosures, including experience certificates, salary slips/Form-16, and valid category certificates (OBC-NCL and EWS certificates must be issued on or after April 1, 2026). In-service candidates must upload a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
