Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD or foreign degree equivalent to a Swedish PhD, ideally completed within the last three years.
- Strong background in cancer biology, molecular biology, and microbiology.
- Proven publication record.
- Very good command of the English language (written and spoken).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience in basic bioinformatics is required; experience in cancer metabolism and model systems is meritorious.
Job Description:
The successful applicant will:
- Investigate the tumorigenicity of specific metabolites in cancer through both in vitro and in vivo models.
- Perform various cell biology and omics experiments, combined with creative biochemistry and molecular biology approaches.
- Generate and validate experimental targets and mechanisms of microbes and metabolites influencing cancer growth.
- Collaborate with the research team, supervise students, write papers and grants, and present findings at meetings.
