Research Area
- Animal navigation mechanisms and their underlying senses
- Quantum effects at ambient temperature in biological systems
- Ecological and conservation-related consequences of animal navigation
- Links between biological and technical systems through models, algorithms, and devices

Eligibility/Qualification
- Required:
- MSc (or equivalent) in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Applied Physics, or a related field
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Experience in navigation, flight, control, robotics, drones, magnetic sensing, or similar areas
- Preferred:
- Experience with PixHawk Autopilot, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ROS/ROS2
- Proficient in programming (Matlab, Python, C++)
- Familiarity with machine learning and/or deep learning methods
Job Description
- Develop a bird-inspired algorithm and robot for magnetic navigation
- Conduct flight tests to address engineering and biological hypotheses
- Collaborate on interdisciplinary research projects
- Participate in qualification programs, retreats, and seminars to enrich scientific discussions and teamwork
