Research Area
The doctoral research will focus on the development and evaluation of active neutron interrogation methods, analyzing induced signatures from various nuclear materials, particularly high-enriched uranium.

Eligibility/Qualification
- A Master’s degree (second-cycle) in Physics, Engineering, or a related field, or
- At least 240 credits in higher education with a minimum of 60 credits at the Master’s level, including a 15-credit independent project.
- Proficiency in English (oral and written) is essential.
Additional Qualifications (considered advantageous)
- Experience in programming
- Experience in spectrometry and radiation detection
- Experience with modeling codes for radiation physics or neutron transport
Job Description
The PhD candidate will:
- Conduct research in nuclear disarmament verification.
- Develop and evaluate measurement techniques using gamma-ray and neutron detectors.
