Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in fields relevant to CNU sections 61 and/or 27
- Strong expertise in at least one of the following:
- Modeling and simulation of Discrete Event Systems
- Operations research with uncertainty handling (robust optimization)
- Applied mathematics (probability, statistics)
- Skills: autonomy in research, scientific writing, proficiency in English
- Candidates must meet national defense confidentiality requirements
Job Description:
The postdoctoral researcher will:
- Define and model epistemic uncertainties in scheduling and maintenance.
- Develop robustness indicators to evaluate scheduling solutions under epistemic uncertainties.
- Simulate and assess robustness using Discrete Event System models, enhancing existing frameworks for efficiency and suitability.
The research will be conducted under the supervision of:
- Alexis Aubry (Université de Lorraine) – robust scheduling
- Pierre-Emmanuel Hladik (Centrale Nantes) – numerical simulation and HPC for real-time scheduling
- Pascale Marangé (Université de Lorraine) – discrete event systems for production control
- Charlotte Seidner (Nantes University) – formal methods for high-level model verification
Net Salary: €2,250 per month
