Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in: Bioelectrochemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, electrochemistry, biophysics, or cell biology.
  • Language: Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Experience: Significant experience in relevant research fields, including:
  • Electrogenic microorganisms culture.
  • Extracellular electron uptake.
  • Experimental design, statistical analysis, and data visualization.

Preferred Skills

  • Coding skills (R, Python, LabTalk, etc.).
  • Collaboration in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Mentoring or supervising students.
  • Strong publication record.

Job Description

The selected candidate will:

  • Investigate extracellular electron uptake in cyanobacteria.
  • Use bioelectrochemical methods, spectroscopy, and multi-omics approaches.
  • Collaborate in interdisciplinary research and influence the development of their project.
  • Contribute to significant advancements in the understanding of biological electricity generation and utilization.
