Eligibility/Qualification

  • MSc degree in Earth Sciences, Environmental Science, Atmospheric Science, Sustainability Science, Ecology, Epidemiology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in modeling, preferably with programming skills in Python or similar languages.
  • Strong theoretical understanding of environmental systems, biogeochemistry, and public health impacts.
  • Excellent communication skills and motivation to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Quantify and map the impacts of nitrogen pollution on ecosystems and health.
  • Utilize the IMAGE-DGNM biogeochemistry model to analyze changes since the 1850s and project future scenarios to 2100.
  • Communicate findings in a manner that supports policy-making and regional solutions.
  • Participate in the training and academic development within the department.
