Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD or Master’s degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Strong software engineering skills in Python and AI-assisted coding, including experience with package development, testing, and version control (Git/GitHub).
  • Experience with scientific computing (NumPy, pandas, Mojo) and/or deep learning frameworks (PyTorch) is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm to learn a new scientific domain.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Job Description:

  • Engage with a team of computational scientists and experimentalists to build software for biomedical research.
  • Design and develop core components of the AlphaX ecosystem, emphasizing performance and modularity.
  • Implement and optimize algorithms for mass spectrometry data processing.
  • Integrate deep learning models into production-ready analysis pipelines.
  • Develop intuitive interfaces and visualization tools for advanced analyses.
  • Contribute to the open-source community with documentation, tutorials, and user engagement.

No prior knowledge of proteomics or mass spectrometry is required. What matters is your engineering instincts, intellectual curiosity, and the desire to make a scientific impact.
