Eligibility/Qualification

  • Degree: PhD in medicine, biomedical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, public health, or related fields.
  • Eligibility Conditions: Must not have resided or been employed in Belgium for more than 12 months over the past three years.

Skills Required

  • Established expertise in applied research on sarcopenia or osteosarcopenia (minimum three first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals).
  • Proficiency in epidemiology, clinical research, and health data analysis.
  • Strong statistical skills using software like R, Stata, SAS, or SPSS.

Job Description

As a member of the Public Health Aging Research and Epidemiology (PHARE) Group:

  • Develop a utility questionnaire from the SarQoL questionnaire for QALY estimation.
  • Participate in a multicenter study assessing patient preferences regarding treatment for sarcopenia.
  • Lead pilot projects in osteosarcopenia.
  • Write scientific articles and contribute to academic visibility.
  • Mentor PhD candidates and Master’s students.
  • Collaborate with clinical and public health teams.
