Research Area

Molecular muscle biology with a focus on exercise-induced adaptations in skeletal muscle and the transcriptional response in both recruited and non-recruited myofibers.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Bioscience Engineering, Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Medicine, Sports Sciences, or other related fields.
  • Strong interest in skeletal muscle physiology.
  • Experience in molecular biology techniques (e.g., immunohistochemistry, transcriptomics).
  • Basic skills in R/Python for data analysis; experience in bioinformatics/image analysis is a plus.
  • Proficient in English.

Job Description

The candidate will primarily work on a project titled “Muscle signals beyond contraction: transcriptional response to exercise within and between muscle fibers.” Responsibilities will include conducting experiments involving single motor unit electrical stimulation, applying spatial transcriptomic techniques, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
