Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD/DPhil (or close to completion) in:

  • Strong experience in Python programming and high-performance computing.
  • Solid understanding of computational biology or protein modeling.
  • Experience in developing machine learning methods for protein analysis or design.

Job Description

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will:

  • Develop and apply advanced, structure-aware machine learning methods to predict antibody specificity, cross-reactivity, and developability against blood-stage malaria antigens.
  • Adapt and extend computational models to analyze antibody–antigen interactions, forecast escape mutation sensitivity, and guide the optimization of lead antibody candidates.
  • Manage independent research activities and coordinate project aspects to meet deadlines.
  • Contribute to the preparation of publications, presentations, and research proposals.
  • Generate new research ideas and support funding applications.
  • Collaborate closely with both experimental and computational researchers and support students and junior researchers in the team.
  • Engage in teaching and academic service activities within the Department, as opportunities arise.
