Eligibility/Qualification
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a doctoral degree or expect to obtain one before appointment
- Ability to communicate in Japanese and/or English
- Capability to independently plan and conduct research
- Experience in at least one of the following areas:
- Polymer synthesis
- Structural characterization
- Mechanical property evaluation of polymer materials
Job Description
The successful candidate will collaborate with Project Associate Professor Shintaro Nakagawa on a JST FOREST-funded project involving:
- Precise analysis of structural homogeneity and inhomogeneity in polymer networks
- Synthesis of model polymers and precursor materials
- Structural evaluation using scattering and other analytical techniques
- Investigation of physical and mechanical properties of polymer materials
Researchers are also encouraged to develop independent research themes through the JST “Voluntary Research Activities by Young Researchers” system, provided the primary project objectives are maintained.
Salary & Benefits
- Annual salary system under university regulations
- Approximate monthly base salary: JPY 380,000 (depending on experience)

Employment Details
- Employment Start Date: As early as possible on or after October 1, 2026 (negotiable)

- Possible extension up to March 31, 2029, or longer within institutional limits
- Probation Period: One month
