Eligibility/Qualification

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree or equivalent in bioengineering, biotechnology, microtechnology, or a relevant field.
  • Research expertise with at least 2 peer-reviewed articles published or in advanced manuscript.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A doctoral degree obtained within the last three years before the application deadline.
  • Experience in microsystem and microfluidic design and fabrication.
  • Experience in cancer biology projects.
  • Teaching and supervision experience.
  • Excellent collaboration skills across disciplines.
  • Strong ability to work independently.
  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, focusing on gender equality.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Job Description

The Postdoctoral Fellow will focus on the following:

  • Designing and developing microphysiological systems and organ-on-chips.
  • Fabrication and validation of these systems.
  • Collaborating with computational scientists and cancer biologists.
  • Coordinating activities among project partners.
  • Supervising research engineers or master’s students.
