Research Area

Eligibility / Qualification

Required Qualifications

Candidates should have:

  • A PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in:
  • Physics
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Materials Science
  • Chemistry
  • or a related discipline.
  • Expertise in structural and chemical analysis of wide-bandgap semiconductors (such as SiC).
  • Strong interest in scientific research and ability to conduct independent investigations.
  • Ability to develop research methods, concepts, experimental approaches, and evaluations.
  • Good organizational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional experience in the following areas will be advantageous:

  • Electrochemical processing of semiconductors or related materials.
  • Surface diffusion mechanisms.
  • High-temperature material processing and microstructural evolution.
  • Micro/nanofabrication and thin-film deposition or analysis.
  • Modelling and simulation of physical and electrochemical processes.
  • Student supervision and mentoring.
  • International or interdisciplinary research collaboration.

Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting application-oriented fundamental research on semiconductor processing technologies.
  • Developing and optimizing electrochemical processes for SiC materials.
  • Investigating mechanisms of electrochemical reactions, pore formation, surface modification, and dissolution.
  • Studying high-temperature treatment strategies for porous semiconductor materials.
  • Designing, fabricating, and characterizing semiconductor structures.
  • Performing experimental studies using advanced material characterization techniques.
  • Publishing research findings in international peer-reviewed journals.
  • Presenting results at international conferences.
  • Co-supervising PhD and Master’s students.
  • Collaborating with national and international academic and industrial partners.
  • Contributing to future research proposals and project development.
