Eligibility

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • A completed master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • Extensive knowledge of structural (continuum) mechanics.
  • Strong understanding of numerical methods, especially the Finite Element Method (FEM).
  • Very good programming skills (e.g., in MATLAB).
  • High proficiency in English and German, both written and spoken.

Scholarship Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting research in Computational Engineering toward a doctoral degree.
  • Supporting teaching activities at the Institute of Structural Analysis.
  • Fulfilling necessary administrative tasks.
