Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in cancer biology, molecular biology, biomedical sciences, or related fields.
- Proven experience working with clinical tumor samples, particularly pancreatic cancer.
- Strong background in solid tumor research.
- Experience in primary cell isolation and culture.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Expertise in molecular biology and genetic manipulation techniques (e.g., transfection, CRISPR).
- Familiarity with tumor-on-chip systems or advanced 3D culture models.
- Background in optical microscopy or live-cell imaging.
- Proficiency in a Scandinavian language is a plus.
Job Description:
As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, your key responsibilities will include:
- Handling clinical pancreatic tumor biopsies (PDAC).
- Isolating and expanding primary PDAC tumor cells.
- Characterizing stromal cell populations, including fibroblasts.
- Establishing and maintaining long-term cultures of patient-derived tumor cells.
- Performing microscopy-based analyses, including live-cell or high-content imaging.
- Contributing to data analysis, documentation, publications, and grant activities.
