Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in cancer biology, molecular biology, biomedical sciences, or related fields.
  • Proven experience working with clinical tumor samples, particularly pancreatic cancer.
  • Strong background in solid tumor research.
  • Experience in primary cell isolation and culture.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Expertise in molecular biology and genetic manipulation techniques (e.g., transfection, CRISPR).
  • Familiarity with tumor-on-chip systems or advanced 3D culture models.
  • Background in optical microscopy or live-cell imaging.
  • Proficiency in a Scandinavian language is a plus.

Job Description:

As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling clinical pancreatic tumor biopsies (PDAC).
  • Isolating and expanding primary PDAC tumor cells.
  • Characterizing stromal cell populations, including fibroblasts.
  • Establishing and maintaining long-term cultures of patient-derived tumor cells.
  • Performing microscopy-based analyses, including live-cell or high-content imaging.
  • Contributing to data analysis, documentation, publications, and grant activities.
