Eligibility/Qualification– PhD in machine learning, computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, or related field; completed or near completion.
– Expertise in generative AI, including diffusion models, flow matching, or related methods.
– Strong programming skills with modern deep learning frameworks.
– Experience with large-scale model training or distributed training.
– Proven publication record in top-tier conferences/scientific journals.
– Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary AI research.

Job Description

The postdoctoral researcher will focus on:

  • Developing new generative modeling approaches and scalable training algorithms.
  • Working on foundation model technologies and novel pretraining objectives.
  • Engaging in multimodal learning and representation across heterogeneous data modalities.
  • Contributing to methodological advances with potential applications in biomedical and scientific domains.
  • Collaborating with academic and industry partners, with access to dedicated computing resources from the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre and the Swiss AI Initiative.
