Job Description
The successful candidate will play a vital role in the lab’s research enterprise. Duties include:
- Aiding the research of graduate students on NLP+ML projects.
- Leading research directions complementary to the lab’s scope.
- Creating an individual research agenda with some freedom.
- Advising graduate and undergraduate students within the lab.
- Collaborating with AI faculty across the department (vision, robotics, ML).
- Optional opportunities to teach courses.
Eligibility/Qualification
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in Computer Science or EE/ECE (or expected to receive before the start date).
- Research focus on machine learning applied to natural language processing, computer vision, or a related area.
Required Competencies & Experience:
- Strong publication record in NLP, ML, or related areas.
- Strong programming skills (specifically TensorFlow and/or PyTorch).
- Demonstrated communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
