Eligibility / Qualification

  • Education: Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational biology, machine learning, computer science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Strong background and demonstrated prior experience in developing and applying machine learning methods to biological/life science problems.
  • Desirable Skills: Experience with bioinformatic preprocessing pipelines for large-scale biological datasets.
  • Language Requirements: Excellent command of both written and oral English.

Job Description

  • Develop advanced machine learning models and computational frameworks to decode how biological functions are represented across multi-modal molecular data.
  • Connect predictive ML modeling with mechanistic biological understanding.
  • Apply methodological innovations to high-impact biological problems, including spatial proteomics, mass spectrometry, genome regulation, and protein design.
  • Utilize and analyze unique, large-scale biological datasets generated across the MPIB network.
