Eligibility/Qualification

  • Degree: Master of Science (or equivalent) in chemistry, biochemistry, biophysics, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of electrochemical methods, such as cyclic voltammetry and Square Wave Voltammetry (SWV), is highly advantageous.
  • Experience: Prior work with surface chemistry on gold or carbon, along with simple organic syntheses, is considered an asset.
  • Skills: Must possess a structured, independent, and meticulous working style, alongside strong planning and documentation skills.
  • Mindset: Curiosity to learn new methodologies, ability to contribute to a multidisciplinary team, and an entrepreneurial mindset (interest in spin-off formation is a plus).

Job Description

  • Develop advanced electrode functionalization strategies, prioritizing tailored anti-biofouling surface modifications.
  • Establish and optimize scalable DNA-based biofunctionalization of carbon electrodes.
  • Investigate and test multiplexing strategies for molecular isothermal and aptamer-based detection methods.
  • Integrate molecular assays directly into sample-to-answer testing cartridges.
  • Analyze and process complex data to successfully reduce interference from biological matrices.
