Eligibility
To be eligible for this PhD programme (under the 5+3 scheme), applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Hold a relevant Master’s degree equivalent to a Danish master’s degree (180 ECTS BSc + 120 ECTS MSc).
- International Applicants: Must have an equivalent degree or at least a bachelor’s degree (180 ECTS) while being academically qualified at the master’s level.

Scholarship Description
The PhD fellow will work on an interdisciplinary project aiming to investigate the molecular complexity of immune-cell interfaces. The central hypothesis focuses on how specific protein interaction networks contribute to the formation and function of the immunological synapse.
Key Responsibilities & Benefits:
- Carry out an independent research project under the supervision of Assistant Professor Christian Kofoed.
- Complete PhD courses (approx. 30 ECTS points).
- Participate in active research environments, including a stay at another research team.
- Gain teaching experience corresponding to approximately 10% of the fellowship.
- Write a PhD thesis based on the project.
- Compensation: Starting salary is approximately 31,800 DKK (~4,300 EUR) per month, plus pension.
