Eligibility & Qualifications
- Academic Degree: A master’s degree (equivalent to a Danish 2-year Master’s degree) in a relevant subject area, such as:
- Medicine
- Veterinary Medicine
- Molecular Biology / Cellular Biology / Biomedicine
- Technical & Research Experience:
- Prior experience in cardiac electrophysiology, cardiovascular models, or cardiovascular physiology is considered a strong advantage.
- Relevant methodological experience, including data science and omics.
- Previous scientific publications are considered a plus.
- Personal & Language Skills:
- High proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Curious mindset with strong drive, independent problem-solving skills, and collaborative abilities.
Scholarship & Position Description
As a PhD fellow at UCPH, your main responsibilities and benefits include:
- Conducting independent translational research under the supervision of Prof. Thomas Jespersen and Prof. Dominik Linz.
- Enrolling in the Graduate School of Health and Medical Sciences and completing PhD coursework (~30 ECTS credits).
- Participating in active international research environments, including external research stays.
- Gaining teaching and dissemination experience with undergraduate students.
- Writing and defending a comprehensive PhD thesis based on your research findings.
- Employment under the standard collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
