Eligibility & Qualifications
Required Education & Experience:
- PhD in Chemistry (or related field).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent practical computing background).
- 6+ years of specialized experience working with self-driving laboratories, electrochemical reactors, and thin-film materials.
- Track Record: Strong publication record, specifically focused on thin-film materials, electrochemical reactors, and self-driving labs.
Technical & Professional Skills:
- Proficiency in programming and software development with Python, C/C++, and UI/UX design.
- Proven track record in mentoring junior researchers, graduate students, and multidisciplinary lab members.
- Strong verbal, visual, and written scientific communication skills.
Job Description & Responsibilities
- Research Leadership: Lead the development of research proposals, grant applications, and project tracking documents for thin-film materials, carbon capture/utilization reactors, and automated self-driving lab systems.
- Experimental Oversight: Direct experimental planning and hands-on execution of advanced electrochemical and materials characterization workflows.
- Team Management & Mentorship: Assist in managing a multidisciplinary team of scientists, providing technical mentorship to students and postdoctoral researchers.
- Compliance & Collaboration: Ensure laboratory safety, adherence to standard operating procedures, and actively liaise with external industrial and academic collaborators.
