Job Description & Responsibilities
As a Postdoctoral Researcher in Dr. Jumana AlHaj Abed’s laboratory, you will execute experimental and computational analyses to drive project completion. Key tasks include:
- Conducting comprehensive Hi-C and Micro-C data generation and computational analysis.
- Adapting multi-way contact genomic tools specifically for Drosophila model systems.
- Developing and establishing visualization frameworks for Pore-C datasets.
- Performing advanced biological image processing and quantitative analysis.
- Writing, executing, and maintaining data analysis workflows in R and/or Python.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: An academic degree in life sciences and a PhD (or equivalent doctoral degree) in any field of Biology, Genetics, Bioinformatics, or related disciplines.
- Technical Skills: Proven hands-on experience in Hi-C / Micro-C analysis, image analysis, and proficiency in programming with R or Python.
- Track Record: A solid publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
- Language & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent command of spoken and written English, motivation to collaborate in a diverse team, and strong communication abilities.
