Designation, Vacancies & Eligibility Criteria
1. Research Associate (RA) – 02 Posts
- Monthly Stipend: Consolidated Rs. 58,000/- per month + HRA as per funding agency norms.
- Essential Qualification: Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Civil / Mechanical / Metallurgical / Materials / Chemical Engineering / Chemistry, OR 3 years of research, teaching, design, and development experience after ME / M.Tech / MS in the relevant engineering/science disciplines with at least one research paper published in an SCI journal.
- Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of slag recycling or concrete technology and relevant experience in the steel industry. NET/GATE qualification in the respective discipline.
- Academic Opportunity: Selected candidates holding a Master’s degree may be considered for admission to the regular full-time Ph.D. program at IIT Indore as per institute norms.
2. Technical Assistant (TA) – 01 Post
- Monthly Stipend: Consolidated Rs. 20,000/- per month + HRA as per funding agency norms.
- Essential Qualification: First Class B.Sc. or 3-Year Diploma in Engineering & Technology.
- Desirable Qualification: Prior experience in Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs), research laboratories, or relevant industrial environments.
Research Area & Project Scope
The appointed team will work on:
- Physical, mineralogical, and chemical characterization of Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steel slag.
- Formulating dynamic utilization frameworks for high-value concrete in strategic construction.
- Implementing machine learning algorithms for process optimization and decarbonizing preconditioning protocols.
