Summary
The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join Prof. Núria López’s group. This position is part of the project “AI-Multiscale Integration For Waste-To-Value Digital Twins” (AIM), funded by the European Innovation Council. The researcher will focus on developing hierarchical Digital Twin (DT) technologies for waste-to-value solutions based on chemical and physical principles.

Job Description
The successful candidate will work within the López Group to develop advanced software and simulation protocols. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing new software for the fine-tuning of Machine Learning Interatomic Potentials (MLPIs) and writing code.
- Running multiscale simulations and performing detailed analysis of the results.
- Writing technical documentation, progress reports, and high-impact scientific articles.
- Presenting research findings at international scientific conferences and events.
Eligibility/Qualification
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: A Ph.D. in Chemistry or Physics.
- Technical Skills: Proven background in Computational Modelling, Molecular Dynamics, Python, Monte Carlo, QM, DFT, and ab initio techniques.
- Language: Fluency in English (minimum C1 level).
- Valued Assets: Excellent coding skills and sound experience specifically with MLPIs.
