Postdoctoral Position in Characterizing Inter-Individual Variability in Stress Response and Its Effects on Resilience
Summary
The Institute for Integrative Biology of the Cell (I2BC), Paris-Saclay University, France, invites applications for a fully funded postdoctoral research position in the Autophagy, Stress and Development team, under the supervision of Dr. Renaud Legouis.
The project aims to investigate the molecular mechanisms responsible for individual variability in stress adaptation and their subsequent effects on fitness, health, and resilience. Using the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans) as a model organism, the research will focus on identifying gene regulatory networks and understanding how individuals respond differently to environmental stress, particularly heat stress.
The project will primarily involve transcriptomic analyses, including single-nucleus RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq), experimental work, and bioinformatics. The successful candidate will have access to the advanced sequencing and bioinformatics facilities at I2BC.
The position is fully funded by the ANR-funded InVariStress project (2027–2029), involving two academic laboratories and an industrial Research and Innovation department.
