Postdoc Position – NERF: Neuro-Electronics Research Flanders (NERF) is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral candidate to join the Pedro Gonçalves Lab in Leuven, Belgium. The successful candidate will utilize computational methods and machine learning techniques to investigate the role of biophysics and morphology of single neurons in the dynamics of neural populations. Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Computational Neuroscience)
- Genuine interest in interdisciplinary work at the intersection of neuroscience, modeling, and machine learning
- Proficiency in programming, preferably in Python
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Strong planning and coordination abilities
- Experience in deep learning or statistical analysis of neural data is a plus
