- Completion of a doctorate within the past five years or by September 2024 (latest)
- Applicants who have not yet completed their doctorate must indicate the expected date of completion
- U.S. citizenship is not required
Job Description: The 2024 Smith Postdoctoral Fellowship in Conservation Research is a two-year applied research program aimed at bridging the gap between conservation research and its practical application. Fellows will have the opportunity to strengthen their skills, collaborate with conservation practitioners, and contribute scientific knowledge to critical conservation issues. The focus of the fellowship is on cutting-edge research in conservation science, defining the future of the field, developing future leaders in conservation research, building partnerships, and supporting high-potential individuals to drive meaningful change. Fellows will conduct research, engage in training programs, participate in peer networking, and gain field learning experiences.
