Department of Biotechnology, ICGEB, New Delhi, invites applications for Project Scientist Positions at ICGEB from eligible and interested candidates.
About- The Cellular Immunology Group at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi, invites applications for multiple temporary project-based positions. These roles offer an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary research environment focused on advanced immunology and life science research. Appointments are initially for one year and may be extended annually based on performance and project requirements.

Eligibility/Qualification –
Senior Project Assistant (No. of positions-1): Applicants must hold a Bachelor degree (B.Tech.,) Master’s degree (M.sc/M.Tech) in Life Sciences or related discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in animal studies and Larvicidal studies (or) Preference will be given to candidates with experience in AI/ML-driven drug discovery approaches
- Research Scientist-I / RS-I (No. of positions-1): Fellowship as per DBT/ICMR norms for RS-I. Applicants must hold a Doctoral degree in Science or Master’s degree in Life Sciences from a recognized university or equivalent and demonstrate relevant research experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in animal studies and Larvicidal studies (or) Preference will be given to candidates with experience in AI/ML-driven drug discovery approaches
- Research Scientist-III / RS-III (No. of positions-1): Fellowship as per DBT/ICMR norms for RS-III. Applicants must hold a Doctoral degree in Science or Master’s degree in Life Sciences from a recognized university or equivalent and seven years of experience in R&D in academic institutions or S&T organizations and scientific activities and services.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in animal studies and Larvicidal studies (or) Preference will be given to candidates with experience in AI/ML-driven drug discovery approaches
Junior Research Fellow/Project Associate position (No. of positions-2): Fellowship as per the norms of funding agencies. Applicants must hold M.Sc. in Life Sciences / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Medical Laboratory Technology or M.Tech in Biotechnology or related fields. CSIR-NET / DBT / GATE / ICMR fellowship desirable. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in bacterial cell culture, mammalian cell culture, prokaryotic and eukaryotic recombinant protein expression, virology, and molecular biotechnology techniques.

JRF/Project Associate positions are available inthe Structural Parasitology group at ICGEB,
New Delhi, under externally funded projects
Investigator: Dr. Amit Sharma
Fellowship and Duration: Senior Project Assistant, RS-I, RS-III and JRF/Project Associate: Fellowship as per DBT/ICMR norms. Positions are under grants funded by WT, DBT, and ICMR. Initially, the positions are available for three months and can be further extended based on the performance of the candidates.
