Job Description:
Postdoc in X-ray Based Multimodality Development (Materials Science)
As a postdoc in X-ray Analytics at Empa, you will be involved in cutting-edge research and development of X-ray methodologies for material structure analysis. Your key responsibilities include:
- Conducting R&D in the domain of X-ray analytics, with a focus on X-ray diffraction and scattering, data analysis, and modeling for partially crystalline material systems.
- Developing lab-based X-ray multimodalities, primarily X-ray imaging, to enhance our understanding of materials.
- Presenting scientific results through publications and conferences.
- Collaborating closely with scientific partners and industrial collaborators to address complex materials science challenges.
Your Profile: We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled researcher with the following qualifications:
- PhD degree in chemistry, physics, or materials science.
- Deep knowledge of X-ray diffraction and scattering methods.
- Additional expertise in X-ray imaging and microscopy techniques is advantageous.
- A commitment to scientific excellence and the ability to work independently.
- Experience in project management and scientific publication writing.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
