Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Essential: Master’s degree in biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related fields.
  • Good understanding of molecular biology techniques.
  • Scientific curiosity, motivation, enthusiasm, and independence.
  • Fluency in English and ability to work in a team.
  • Desirable: Practical experience in molecular biology, experience with plants, programming knowledge (R language).

Job Description: The selected candidate will work on a project investigating the role of DEAD-box helicases from the DDX3/DED subfamily in microRNA biogenesis, specifically their impact on hairpin loop structure remodeling and efficiency of miRNA formation. Advanced molecular biology, cell biology, and biotechnology techniques will be employed, including transgenic line construction, CRISPR-CAS9 genome editing, next-generation sequencing, mass spectrometry, confocal microscopy, and more.

Scholarship Offer:

  • 48-month scholarship: PLN 5,000/gross per month (until mid-term evaluation at doctoral school)
  • PLN 6,000/gross per month (after mid-term evaluation at doctoral school)
