Scholarship Description
The MAGO project is an interdisciplinary collaboration between DESY’s particle physics group and the controls/feedback regulations group. The role involves:
- Further development of high-precision RF field control for SRF cavities used in gravitational wave searches.
- Integration of carrier suppression interferometer (CSI)-based techniques into LLRF systems.
- Development, testing, and operation of state-of-the-art RF measurement devices at cavity test stands.
- Creating algorithms to automate the calibration of RF control and measurement systems.
- Conducting measurement studies on SRF cavities with high quality factors.
DESY offers a unique international research environment, flexible working hours, mobile work options (up to 50%), and comprehensive training opportunities.
How to Apply
Interested candidates should submit their complete application documents, including a letter of motivation, CV, relevant certificates, and two letters of reference, via the DESY application portal. Letters of reference should be submitted using the specific online tool provided by the department.
