Job Description:

Columbia Climate School Postdoctoral Research Program – Fall 2024 Cohort

The Columbia Climate School Postdoctoral Research Program offers an intellectually stimulating environment where scholars:

  • Focus on critical sustainable development issues, including artificial intelligence and climate, carbon management, climate finance and risk, coastal viability, disaster resilience, energy storage, climate and environmental justice, and the food transition.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of prominent scientists at the Earth Institute and Columbia University.
  • Develop cross-disciplinary approaches to sustainable development research.
  • Contribute to existing Climate School programs or propose new projects that align with the School’s expertise.

Application Requirements: Candidates should:

  • Complete the online application.
  • Submit a research proposal outlining how their work contributes to global sustainable development.
  • Identify and contact a multidisciplinary mentoring team, comprising two or more senior faculty members or research scientists/scholars at Columbia University.
  • Review potential mentors and projects on the program’s website.
