Postdoctoral Researcher in Social Science: The Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies (MPIfG) is seeking applications from highly motivated postdoctoral researchers (m/f/d) specializing in Social Science. We invite candidates to join our dynamic research community and contribute to the fields of Political Economy and Economic Sociology under the mentorship of esteemed professors. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A completed Ph.D. in Social Science or related fields.
  • Demonstrated scholarly excellence.
  • Proficiency in English or German.
  • A compelling research proposal outlining your project (up to 3 pages).

Job Description:

  • Conduct independent research within the scope of MPIfG’s research program.
  • Collaborate with Prof. Dr. Lucio Baccaro or Prof. Dr. Jens Beckert as your mentor.
  • Participate actively in the intellectual life of the Institute.
  • Reside in the Cologne area and work at MPIfG.
  • Present your research findings within the academic community.
