Postdoctoral Position in Genomics: Institut Curie is seeking two motivated and productive junior post-doctoral fellows in bioinformatics to join the team “Replication Program and Genome Instability” at the Institut Curie in Paris, France. The team is dedicated to using cutting-edge high-throughput genomic approaches and genome-wide data analyses to study the spatio-temporal replication program of the human genome and its impact on genome stability in normal and cancer cells. This position offers an opportunity to work on innovative research projects in genomics and bioinformatics.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD degree in bioinformatics or related areas (less than 6 years after obtaining a PhD).
  • Strong computational and statistical skills.
  • Interest in genome biology.
  • Desirable: Experience with single-molecular sequencing, single-cell omics, linear tracing analysis, high-throughput imaging analysis, or neurogenesis.
  • Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Highly motivated, curious, and enthusiastic.

Job Description: The successful candidates will work on innovative research projects related to the spatio-temporal replication program of the human genome and its implications for genome stability in normal and cancer cells. The research will involve high-throughput single molecule/cell imaging and sequencing, mathematical and computational modeling, and bioinformatics analyses. The goal is to deepen our understanding of DNA replication at the single molecule/cell level and its links to genome instability in cancer and neurogenesis.

  • Short periods of travel.
  • Long periods working in front of computers.

Contract Information:

  • Type of Contract: Fixed-term contract.
  • Starting Date: As soon as possible.
  • Duration: 1 year (renewable contract).

  • Remuneration: According to the current grids.
