Scholarship Description: The project aims to create a green platform for membrane development through electrospinning of polymers. Researchers will explore various polymers and green solvents for electrospinning and develop porous membranes with a focus on functionality, porosity, pore size, capacity, selectivity, and adsorption-regeneration performance. The electrospun mats will be assembled into adsorption modules for evaluation, with a primary focus on removing PFAS impurities.

Eligibility: We seek highly motivated students with backgrounds in chemical engineering, process engineering, chemistry, or physical chemistry. Applicants should be capable of bridging chemical engineering with a deep understanding of physical and chemical phenomena related to adsorption and desorption kinetics.
