PostDoc – Iron catalysts in lysosomes: Join us in a unique post-doctoral position at the Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC). We seek talented individuals with a recent PhD in Physics or related fields for a stimulating project at the intersection of Chemistry and Biology. The role involves implementing a proof-of-principle project exploring a novel approach to develop intracellular catalysts with enhanced efficiency.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD degree in Chemistry or related fields
  • Previous experience in synthetic chemistry, bioinorganic chemistry, homogeneous catalysis, or cell biology is advantageous.

Job Description:

  • Contract Duration: 1 year (possibility to extend up to 3 years)
  • Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales
  • Start Date: 15/01/2024

Selection Process:

Applications will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • CV of the candidate (40%)
  • Adequacy of the candidate’s scientific background to the project (40%)
  • Reference letters (10%)
  • Other: Diversity in gender, race, nationality, etc. (10%)

Results will be communicated to the candidates soon after. Positions will be filled if qualified candidates are found. The DIPC may revoke its decision if the candidate fails to join by the appointed time, in which case the position will be awarded to the next highest-scoring candidate above 50 (out of 100).
