UCL EPSRC DTP Studentship: The UCL EPSRC DTP is currently accepting applications for its 2024/25 recruitment. The Doctoral Training Partnership aims to recruit 70 exceptional students for fully-funded four-year PhD (including EngD) studentships at UCL. Applications are invited for two recruitment rounds, with the first deadline on 08 January 2024, and a second round (if needed) open to Home candidates only, with an application deadline of 06 May 2024.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Academic entry requirements for UCL.
  • Additional academic entry requirements for the hosting department.
  • Open to Home and International fee status students.
  • UK nationals, EU nationals with settled or pre-settled status, Irish nationals, and those with indefinite leave to remain or enter are eligible for Home fee status.
  • EU, EEA, or Swiss nationals with pre-settled status must meet specific residency requirements for Home fee status.
  • All others are classified as International fee status.

Job Description: The UCL EPSRC DTP offers fully-funded four-year studentships including fees, stipend (at least £21,622 per year), and a Research Training Support Grant. Studentships are open to both full and part-time study modes (at least 50% FTE). Successful candidates will be registered for 4 years and are expected to submit their thesis within the funded period.

Funding Details:

  • 4 years of fully funded fees (Home rate), or International students receive a UCL award covering the home/international fee difference.
  • Maintenance stipend at the UCL EPSRC DTP enhanced rate.
  • Research Training Support Grant (RTSG) of £4,800.

Student Eligibility:

  • Must fulfill academic entry requirements for UCL and the hosting department.
  • Open to both Home and International fee status students.
  • Specific eligibility criteria for UK, EU, EEA, or Swiss nationals with settled or pre-settled status.
