PhD Researcher – Rapid Nanopore Sequencing of Preterm Microbiota and Proinflammatory Biomarkers in Infection-Mediated Preterm Labour
The project focuses on developing a rapid and portable approach to determine pathogen and antimicrobial resistance profiles in preterm birth cases. Utilizing nanopore sequencing, the candidate will combine metagenomics and metatranscriptomics to understand infection mechanisms, microbiome roles, and transcriptional biomarkers in preterm delivery.
