Job Description:
Research Associate / Senior Research Associate in AI for DNA/RNA Nanotechnology
The successful candidate will work within the ICOS research group, focusing on computational design, modelling, optimisation, and AI applications in DNA/RNA nanotechnology systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing DNA/RNA strand displacement, origami, and aptamer multi-scaled systems
- Developing multi-scale models of DNA/RNA systems with target functionalities
- Optimising multi-scale DNA/RNA systems to achieve target functionalities
- Developing AI tools to support the above processes
- Collaborating with experimentalists to validate, debug, and improve software
- Contributing to scientific papers, oral presentations, and grant writing
- Following and establishing good software engineering practices
