Job Description:

Postdoctoral Researcher in Biological Systems Engineering

The Postdoc Researcher will:

  1. Develop crop process-based growth models to estimate crop growth stages, biomass, and yield under forecasted weather and projected climate conditions.
  2. Create machine learning models for predicting crop yield using historical yield data and phenology outputs from crop growth models.
  3. Develop physical-guided machine learning models that integrate crop growth models with machine learning for decision-making.

The candidate will collaborate with researchers from NASA, contributing to interdisciplinary research in digital agriculture. The salary is commensurate with experience, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison offers competitive fringe benefits.
