Postdoctoral Scientist in Bioinformatics: Join the Collaborative Research Centre 1381 on the “Dynamic organization of cellular protein machineries: From biogenesis and modular assembly to function.” We are actively seeking a talented Postdoctoral Scientist (f/m/d) in Bioinformatics / Computational Proteomics to contribute to our dynamic and collaborative research environment.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD degree in Bioinformatics, Informatics, Biochemistry, Biology, or related subject area.
  • Proven advanced programming skills with a willingness to learn further.
  • Knowledge of Python, R, or similar scripting languages is advantageous.
  • Experience in or knowledge of proteomics workflows is highly beneficial.
  • High proficiency in English (written and oral).
  • Motivation, self-organization, and team player skills.

Job Description:

Postdoctoral Scientist in Bioinformatics / Computational Proteomics

The Postdoctoral Scientist will be part of the Biochemistry and Functional Proteomics group at the Faculty of Biology, focusing on proteome-wide scale studies using mass spectrometry. Responsibilities include building an advanced processing pipeline for quantitative proteome analyses, implementing a database-driven backend for experimental data, developing an online tool for data inspection and visualization, adapting and integrating algorithms for comparative analysis of profile data, and actively participating in project discussions, conferences, and publications.
