Job Description
The successful candidate will contribute to high-impact research by:
- Conducting quality academic research in collaboration with staff and students.
- Publishing findings in high-impact academic journals and conference proceedings.
- Assisting in the supervision of undergraduate, intern, honours, Masters, and PhD students.
- Preparing and submitting external grant applications.
- Developing research collaborations and partnerships.
Eligibility / Qualifications
- PhD: Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Exercise Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience in cell culture techniques for mechanistic molecular biology.
- Data Expertise: Experience in sample preparation, quality control, and data validation for Next-Generation Sequencing and Proteomic analyses.
- Bioinformatics: Training and experience in the analysis, interpretation, and integration of large-scale transcriptomic and proteomic datasets.
- Compliance: Must hold or be willing to obtain a current Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Working Rights: Must have full and permanent working rights in Australia (visa sponsorship is not available).
