Eligibility/Qualification–

Assistant Professor Grade II

• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
• First class or equivalent in the preceding degree.
• Excellent academic record throughout.
• Maximum age limit: 32 years.
• Position is offered on a contract basis.

Assistant Professor Grade I

• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
• First class or equivalent in the preceding degree.
• Outstanding academic record.
• Minimum 3 years of teaching/research/industrial experience excluding Ph.D. duration.
• Maximum age limit: 35 years.

School of Innovation (Special Provision)

• Candidates without a Ph.D. may also apply subject to the experience requirements specified in the advertisement and completion of Ph.D. within the stipulated period after joining.

Job/Position Description-

The Indian Institute of Technology Indore has announced a Special Recruitment Drive (Backlog Vacancies) for 44 Assistant Professor positions across multiple departments and schools. Applications are invited from Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) for the positions of Assistant Professor Grade I and Grade II in various research domains including Engineering, Sciences, Humanities, Sustainability, Biosciences, and Innovation.

Selected candidates will be expected to:

• Conduct high-quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Establish and lead an independent research program.
• Publish research in reputed international journals.

• Secure sponsored research projects and collaborate with industry and academic institutions.
• Contribute to academic administration and institutional development activities.
