About-  The Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) was established by an Act of Parliament (Act 25 of 2009) as a new Central University and is fully funded by the Government of India. The Central University of Rajasthan is committed to inculcating and sustaining quality in all the dimensions of Higher Education, viz. teaching, learning, research, extension and governance while catering to regional and global needs. CURAJ offers 50+ Masters’s and Ph.D. programs in its 29 departments. The University operates from its permanent campus of 550 (approx.) acres and it has adequate hostels housing nearly 2000 students on the campus.

Eligibility/Qualification–  

Candidates must possess qualifications prescribed for the respective discipline. Broadly, applicants should have:

• Master’s Degree in the relevant subject from a recognized Indian or foreign university.
• Minimum qualifying marks as prescribed for the respective category.
• UGC-NET in the relevant subject wherever applicable.
• Candidates awarded Ph.D. in accordance with UGC Regulations, 2018 are exempted from the NET requirement.
• Certain departments require additional professional qualifications such as:
  • B.Pharm./M.Pharm. with Pharmacist Registration (Pharmacy)
  • B.Arch. & M.Arch./M.Plan with professional experience (Architecture)
  • Industry experience for Vocational Studies
  • Hotel industry managerial experience for eligible Hotel & Tourism candidates.
• Department-specific desirable qualifications such as teaching experience or Ph.D. are applicable in some disciplines.

Job Position Description–

The Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) has released Advertisement No. CURAJ/R/F.176/Rectt./2026/5996 dated 22 June 2026 inviting eligible candidates for Walk-in Interviews for the post of Assistant Professor on a contractual basis in various academic departments for the Academic Session 2026–27. The appointments are purely temporary and will remain valid until the last working day of the academic session or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Assistant Professor (Contractual)

Posts are available in multiple academic departments under various reservation categories including UR, OBC, SC, ST, and EWS.

Selected candidates will:

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students.
• Perform academic, teaching, and departmental responsibilities assigned by the University.
• Serve as Contractual Assistant Professors for the Academic Session 2026–27.
• Undertake additional duties assigned by the University authorities during the tenure.
• Receive a consolidated monthly salary of ₹60,000 without additional service benefits.
