Associate in Aquatic Biogeochemistry: The Urban Ecosystem Ecology Lab at the University of Florida is seeking a Post-Doctoral Associate to study nutrient and energy dynamics of residential ponds throughout Florida as part of the NSF-funded Ponds and People project. The successful applicant will work under the supervision of Dr. A.J. Reisinger and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of faculty, staff, and students from anthropology, economics, engineering, and psychology.

Eligibility/Qualification: Ph.D. in Biogeochemistry, Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing field sampling plans
- Conducting regular sampling for various biogeochemical parameters
- Deploying and maintaining environmental sensors
- Carrying out laboratory analyses, including dissolved gas analysis, nutrient analyses, and dissolved organic matter composition
- Coordinating field and lab activities with other post docs, graduate students, and undergraduate students
- Processing samples, conducting statistical analyses and data visualization, and producing manuscripts based on results of the project
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop professional skills relevant to their future career goals, supervise undergraduate students, and contribute to the development of graduate students in the Urban Ecosystem Ecology Lab. There is funding available for travel to scientific conferences and numerous additional opportunities to present for both academic and non-academic audiences.
